The new product line from American SHIELD NVIDIA is getting closer to release and the official presentation. They come to us, but interesting figures talking about the fact that another device can not be … tablet.
SHIELD is a relatively well-known series of products from NVIDIA, which, despite poor sales and a relatively low popularity can soon look forward to continuing. Currently, NVIDIA puts on its Tegra processors, which are used in Chromebooks and devices need computing power for rendering 3D graphics: we are talking specifically about all sorts of outfits for the players – as even the first, we tested version of the shield. It is true that the processor does not cornered the market, but the US company does not give up. On the FCC arrived for a new product, but it turns out that this may not be a tablet, a … game console. For the latter speaks another artwork, which you can see below it suggests that the new SHIELD can be presented as a "Portable Gaming Console", which is nothing but another interpretation of the handheld console.More than a dozen hours ago to the FCC got a special request issued by Nvidia, according to which the company is seeking to grant the relevant documents on the device marked as P2523. The application for the certificate itself does not reveal, unfortunately, too much information about the product, however, reveals some of the data that allow to guess what exactly could be the equipment. We already know even that the new SHIELD will have dimensions of 21.8 x 12.2 x 0.76 centrymetra and will be equipped with dual-band network controller Wi-Fi standard 802.11ac. In addition, on board we find Bluetooth 4.1, screen Quad HD or 2K size of about 8 inches, 4 gigabytes of RAM and a fairly large battery the size of 6800 mAh. The whole unit has to weigh 349 grams, which is quite a lot. Another rumor appearing in other sources speak of the fact that this equipment may have USB Type C and support for virtual reality technologies proposed by Google: course we are talking about Daydream. So performance will have to be at the appropriate level. Unfortunately, at this moment we do not know anything more about this device, nor do we know the possible date of its introduction into sales. Well, we wait and see.
