Tablet market slowly, slowly, but it is shrinking – and despite the best intentions it is impossible not to agree with these words. Most clearly show the numbers and statistics, and the report's analytical TrendForce are many and, unfortunately, virtually no one is a sign of growth. Even in 2015 customers went 168.5 million tablets, which in any case – for the first time in history – meant until a double-digit decline in sales, amounting to 12.2%. Trend – which rather predictably – has been maintained: in 2016 sold for 157.4 million devices, which gives a slightly smaller, but still not very good-looking a decline of 6.6%. What is important – solid declines recorded the two largest players on the market. Despite the big drawbacks to the final balance of sales remained the clear market leader Apple. Number of iPads sold is falling rapidly, but from year to year – in 2015 the figure was 49.6 million units, while in 2016, sales of only 42.5 million iPads. What is true is still enough to control just over 27% of the market, but still – 7 million iPads less had to hit the economic calculation Apple.

Interestingly, Apple forecast sales slumps occur even despite the fact that analysts factored in their assumptions fact that Apple will launch three new copies of the iPad – with screen sizes 9.7, 12.5, and at the end of 10.5 inches. It will certainly be an event that should be a little "move" fossilized industry, but rather no one expects that sales of tablets fires with hooves and once again will be the wave of rising. The premiere of the new iPads certainly will slightly reduce the negative trend, but rather for sure it will not turn.
