Boom for tablets has disappeared, but the biggest players on the market still can surprise. This also happened with Apple, which announced sales for the third fiscal quarter of 2017. Apple has not sold as many iPads as it has now since 2013!
It would seem that we are buying fewer and fewer tablets. That's right, because the hot period involved in acquiring these devices has disappeared a few years ago. Still, tablets still seem to be a great solution for some users. Especially if we are talking about professional or business applications here . If it were otherwise, tablets or hybrids (2in1 devices) would have been forgotten long ago. And although most of the manufacturers who tried to break through in this segment did not regret it, however, still the biggest players on the market are able to outperform. An example might be Apple itself. Cupertino's Cupertino sales of iPads in the third fiscal quarter of 2017 indicated that iPads had a 15% increase in the number of units sold (an increase from 9,950 million to 11,424 million units) compared to the same period last year. Such a good sales company could not boast for years, when it fell with each subsequent quarter. Still, it is worth noting that the revenue from this title, which increased only 2% (from $ 4.876 billion to $ 4.969 billion). The above results can be attributed to the great sale of new iPads and a reduction in the price of the basic model. This last change could particularly encourage the abstention of earlier decisions. So far it is difficult to predict whether the upward trend will continue in the next quarter or whether it was only a one-time jump leading to further declines.
