Dell has unveiled a new tablet that will appeal to all enthusiasts of enhanced devices – the Latitude 7212 Rugged Extreme.
One thing is certain – the enhanced Latitude 7212 will certainly not be a cheap device. Its price starts with – bagatela – 1899 dollars . In return for this amount, however, we receive very well made equipment with a solid technical specifications. On board, there was a place for an Intel processor from the Skylake or Kaby Lake line, with up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of data on the SSD. The device is of course the right size – we have to deal with an 11.6 inch screen and FullHD resolution, which is 1920×1080 pixels. Of course, an important component of the tablet is a keyboard that is hidden in the second battery – so we can use two 34 Whr battery simultaneously, increasing the life of the device. The Dell Della also gives you access to a solid set of ports – there's USB Type A, USB Type C with charging capability, and a SmartCard reader. Optionally, we can also equip Latitude 7212 with a 4G LTE modem, which is sure to be a useful addition.Of course, the tablet can boast of great size housing as well as adequate water and dust tightness. Interestingly, it is lighter than its predecessor – it weighs 1.27 kilograms against 1.67, which is the weight of the previous generation tablet. The tablet went on sale today with a set of enhancements – the keyboard, charger, and docking station, which we obviously have to pay for.
